How to View Facebook full site – Desktop Version

Today, someone asked me how to access the full version of Facebook’s site using the Android phone to update a brand page for which they are an admin.

Many features on Facebook are not available on the mobile app, so accessing the full site via a web browser is necessary. By default, mobile web browsers are redirected to the mobile version of the site. But there are steps that can be taken to access the full version of the site on any mobile device.

1. Direct Link:

To view the full desktop version of Facebook on your Android device:

  1. Log in to your Facebook account using the mobile version of the website.
  2. In your browser, type http://www.facebook.com/home.php and select Go. Ensure that you type the URL exactly as specified.
  3. The full desktop version of Facebook should now appear in your browser.

2. Browser Settings:

Browser setting

Browsers like Chrome on Android have the option to view the desktop version of Facebook built-in. In Chrome, you can select the “Menu” button located at the upper-right corner, then choose “Desktop Site.”

In some cases, you can change the User Agent String within the app settings to reflect a desktop browser. This will allow the browser to always render the full desktop version of the Facebook website.

By doing this, you will be able to view the full, non-mobile site and have access to all of the features you would have on your desktop computer right from your Android device. This method should also work for other mobile devices like iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia or Palm Pre phone. However, this method will work for both Android and iPhone devices.
